This graph shows how monarch colonies have decreased in Mexico. It is said that deforestation and the production of genetically modified organisms are the causes for this decrease. Now, monarch butterflies are classified by the World Wildlife Fund as "near-threatened", and they may become extinct in the future. But what's more endangered is the migration and winter behavior. If this one animal is affected by these GMO's and deforestation, imagine how many more animals are passing through the same situation. This is a problem that needs to be addressed.
